Since I'm a new member of the forum, I would like to say hi to everyone. I've been reading many posts here in the forum and some posts helped me a lot throughout my journey.

I will have a few questions for you but before that I would like to note that as a beginner IWC collector, today was an important day for me as I've just received my 3706 and Mark XV back from the full service and picked them up in the boutique. An another reason why I've been enjoying my experiences with IWC so far, the customer service; which has been very fast, reliable, detailed and most importantly very professional.

I've gone through many stages during this intention of collecting, tried many other brands, researched many vintage and modern watches and finally understood that what I liked the most at the beginning was going to be my true passion, the pilot watches. The history, movement, design... everything I looked for is in the IWC family; including the other IWC lines as well.

So after a year here I am, with my modest IWC collection:

    [i284.photobucket.com/albums/ll17/Mk-IX/IMG_5983_zpsnzhso692.jpg](s284.photobucket.com/user/Mk-IX/media/IMG_5983_zpsnzhso692.jpg.html)

    [i284.photobucket.com/albums/ll17/Mk-IX/IMG_5986_zpspnixivoq.jpg](s284.photobucket.com/user/Mk-IX/media/IMG_5986_zpspnixivoq.jpg.html)

    [i284.photobucket.com/albums/ll17/Mk-IX/IMG_5987_zpswu2jnarq.jpg](s284.photobucket.com/user/Mk-IX/media/IMG_5987_zpswu2jnarq.jpg.html)

    [i284.photobucket.com/albums/ll17/Mk-IX/IMG_5989_zpsnpuqmpnh.jpg](s284.photobucket.com/user/Mk-IX/media/IMG_5989_zpsnpuqmpnh.jpg.html)

    [i284.photobucket.com/albums/ll17/Mk-IX/IMG_5975_zpsvwkktdy6.jpg](s284.photobucket.com/user/Mk-IX/media/IMG_5975_zpsvwkktdy6.jpg.html)

Now I'm quite sure about that the classic UTC will have it's own space in this collection. The hard decision for me is about the fifth one, there would many options and ways to evolve the collection by adding a Mark X, 3706 Spitfire Silver dial, 3717, Spitfire Battle of Britain or maybe even the Mark XVI... What would be your suggestions on a growing collection like this one?

And finally please could you give me some information about this specific 37mm Hermet that I own. I know that the case is hermetically sealed so the dial managed to stay in very good condition and the seller mentioned that the watch is from 60's, mainly all the information I could find showed me that these sport/pilot watches are actually from 40's? I will order a certificate from IWC in the following weeks but until then I hope that you can enlighten me with the history, movement and importance of this piece.

    Thank you!

    Nice collection and photos, thanks.

Hermet => You will find several information about it, if you start a search with "Hermet".

Hello and welcome to THE IWC forum. Congratulations on your bunch of classics. Beautiful to look at. As the UTC seems to be set, there are two recommendations to continue the line:

    The 3711

and the already famous CF3 Collectors' Forum Pilot

Thank you very much for your warm welcome and suggestions!

Also, if I'm not mistaken I saw somewhere that there's been a few collectors meetings in Schaffhausen, is there anyone who can give me some insights about these events?

Welcome to the Forum. I particularly like the 3706, Mark XV! They certainly compliment each other very well.
