I have never owned any Swiss watch before and I am thinking of getting a pre-owned iwc pilot chrono 3717-01 which is up for offer at $3550 instead of a brand new 3777-09 which retails $5750 here in my country.
A little bit about the dealer which offers the 3717-01. They're not an AD but they do have a bit history of being the oldest (since 1958) pre-owned dealers in my country. They're also offering guaranteed buyback at -10% at anytime in the future.
The reason I'm posting this is to get any kind of help as to the authenticity of the 3717 since I am not really good at differentiating a real from fake especially since fakes are really getting so good these days. Also because this would be my first real Swiss watch that I can afford.
