Portofino Automatic questions....

I'm thinking of acquiring a black dial Portofino on mesh bracelet. My questions, for owners or those in the know:

--at 40mm, does the dial seem larger due to the fairly thin bezel?
--any issues with glare making legibility of the silver on black difficult?
--is the movement an ETA 2892 reworked by IWC?
