    Dear members,
With great excitement I went today to an exhibition at the MUDAC museum, located in my town (Lausanne, near Geneva, Switzerland).

This exhibition was called "telling time" and had surprisingly few wristwatches on display. There were of course lots of designers items and installations, allowing spectators reflexions over "time poetics".

To my surprise, there was an IWC, and not the least of.
This very quintessential pilot watch (in my opinion) was hanging between two other major brands. Sorry for the lousy pic. quality, it's all I could get since apparently taking pictures was not allowed.

Dial and hands seemed brand new. Case was mint.

The cal. 83 was coming right from Schaffhausen factory.

What a rare and stunning piece of history, don't you think?
The exhibition ends on september 27th. For the locals, don't miss it!

    Absolutely stunning!

That watch could hold its own amongst many modern releases - pure IWC heritage.

    Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for sharing that piece of IWC history. A real beauty indeed.

I have visited Lausanne a few times in the past. It's really lovely town.
An acquaintance I once worked with in South Africa was from Lausanne, before he returned to Switzwerland.

Our friend Thomas König found one, he took the risk of it being a fake, I hope he was lucky !
