    Greetings,

I think IWC is the first watch manufacturer who has produced titanium watches. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Does anyone know which watch was the first one made of titanium case and bracelet? Thank you in advance for your information.

    Best regards,

    Terry

I thought it was the PD chrono ref. 3700...

... that was the first watch produced by IWC that was completely made out of titanium. I stand corrected if I'm wrong....

    Regards
    Norbert

    That's correct - Ref.3700 (appr.1980) (NT)

    Here's a pic - and a constraint

The Porsche Titan chronograph (Ref.3700) was the first chronograph made from Titan. If you read the older catalogs there is always this usage (not "the first watch").
So it could be that the first Titan watch was made by another manufacturer.

    Additional Information...

I guess the Seiko 600m Pro Diver was the first titanium watch.

As Hans mentioned, the 3700 was the first tianium "chronograph" ever. It was designed 1977 and sold (approx.) from 1978.

The very first generation of the Ref. 3700 looked like this. Nice details (among others) was no "Porsche Design" label on the dial and a white date.

    Greetings H.C.
