Hello to everyone, this is the information I have about the movement 30110 fitted in the Portofino old model:
IWC buys at ETA no complete movements, the movements are only bought in its components, never assembled. In addition, only the best possible version is purchased. Some components of the original ETA calibre´s are inmediately eliminated and are never used by IWC. The main parts IWC replaces are :
The mainspring, the barrel, the escape wheel, the pallet fork, the complete balance.
This is the information of the movement 30110.
I want to know if they make the same with the movement 35110 fitted in the new Portofino, the same I have.
I hope so, because if it is not true, it has no sense to pay almost 3000 euros for a watch wenn another makers fitt the same movement for around 1000.
I hope somebody can explain me that, thanks very much, best wishes Juan
